In Search of...
An Oktoberfest CO-CHAIR! You don’t have to go it alone this Spring when our second annual Oktoberfest fundraiser planning is in full swing. Julie Davidson, the brilliant mind behind last year’s successful Oktoberfest, had so much fun that she signed on for another year! She is looking for someone to co-chair with her this year (2015-16) and “learn the ropes” so they can take the lead for the following year (2016-17). This would be a perfect position for a current 6th grade who wants to help LJHS and have a great time doing it. Please contact Julie Davidson for more details.
DO YOU VOTE?
Volunteering is about voting for the kind of community you want to live in. Do you want Art Literacy, options for lunch recess and additional teachers for our schools? Make a commitment of 1-3 hours per month and make a difference.
Even if you don't think you have the time, there is something for you. ASK!
Our current team (two years strong) will not continue into the next school year. If you are interested in shadowing the current Presidents and Volunteer Coordinator for a seamless transition into leadership, please CONTACT us. The social benefits are outstanding :)
The Lake Oswego Schools Foundation is dedicated to keeping class sizes small and our school’s curriculum rich by raising money to pay for additional teachers. Can you spare 3 hours to call and/or email on behalf of the Foundation? This is an ideal opportunity for those looking for a short, easy volunteering task. Stacey Dennett is heading up this effort and wants to hear from those wanting a little social activity for the volunteers. SIGN UP
This is just a small commitment that can help our students tremendously.
