PARENT CLUB MEETING -- RESULTS OF VOTE
Thank you to those parents who came to the Parent Club meeting last week to hear about and vote on how we will spend the $54,000 raised through our Oktoberfest auction. We agreed to spend $43K to buy 215 Chromebooks (allowing for better access to and usage of Chromebooks to enhance classroom instruction), $7K towards "standard classroom set-ups" (including projectors, apple TVs, sound systems, etc.), and $4K towards a bouldering wall in the gym (also funded by the student council). Check out the school website for meeting minutes and the financial reports presented.
"SNOWFLAKE" GIFT CARD DRIVE FOR LJHS FAMILIES IN NEED
Through THIS Friday December 9th
LJHS counselors are collecting gift cards, cash or checks (made out to LJHS), which will be given to LJHS families who are in need of a little extra assistance this holiday season. Gift cards for groceries, toys, restaurants, etc. are greatly appreciated! Fred Meyer and Target are especially helpful because they cover many different needs, but any others are accepted too, of course. Donations can be brought to the office and placed in the Snowflake Gift Card Collection Box. Questions? Please contact Marcy Watts at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
- NOTE: A RAFFLE TICKET WILL BE GIVEN FOR DONATED GIFT CARDS. THE WINNER WILL GET A GIFT BASKET OF COSMETIC GOODIES.

Throughout the day, teachers and staff members will be able to put together their own cookie trays to bring home and share with their families. Thank you for helping support our hardworking LJHS community! Please select the button to sign up and indicate what you'll be bringing.
